Who We Are

Managing our impact

Allan Myers is committed to responsible stewardship of our natural resources and environmental compliance on our job sites through comprehensive practices and continuous education. Environmental protection is fully integrated into how we plan, build, and operate while providing dedicated support across both construction projects and materials operations, ensuring consistent environmental performance across our entire footprint.

Environmental efforts focus on energy efficiency and sustainable practices, including ENERGY STAR®certified asphalt plants. These asphalt plants are leaders in energy efficiency, operating with significantly lower energy consumption compared to their peers.

Our environmental team plays a critical role in protecting ecosystems throughout the construction lifecycle. We ensure compliance and proper field implementation of requirements related to wetlands and waterways, protected and endangered species habitats, and sensitive environmental areas and regulatory zones. We coordinate closely with regulatory agencies and project teams to ensure these protections are properly executed while balancing environmental responsibility with project performance.

Leveraging technology

Technology plays an important role in helping us protect the environment, improve safety, and increase efficiency in the field. From project planning through construction, we use advanced tools to collect accurate data, assess site conditions, and identify potential risks early. For sensitive and critical infrastructure projects, our team utilizes a Blue UAS-approved drone platform that meets federal security requirements.

Key features include:

  • FAA Part 107 certified environmental professionals
  • Drone-based inspections and site documentation
  • Improved data collection and site analysis

Sustainable paving solutions

More than 5 million tons of asphalt are mixed each year and at that volume, safe working conditions and eco-friendly factors are careful considerations. Innovative materials such as Cold Central Plant Recycled Material (CCPRM) and warm mix asphalt support sustainability by allowing reclaimed asphalt to be reused without compromising quality. Warm mix asphalt also reduces energy use and emissions by lowering fuel consumption and producing less smoke and dust, improving working conditions at the asphalt plant and on project sites.

Allan Myers has a portable plant capable of producing a cold, 85% recycled base product comparable to traditional base asphalt, called Ecoblend, or CCPRM. Ecoblend consists of RAP, foamed or emulsified liquid asphalt, dust, and cement. This proven product has been used by multiple states and localities on local, primary, and interstate roadways as an eco-friendly approach to provide roadway structure in an economical product.
