George Stayton

General Superintendent

George Stayton’s leadership was shaped in the field, built through experience, and proven on the company’s toughest jobs.

Starting as a laborer at age 20, he quickly took advantage of the company’s equipment operator training program and, driven by a strong desire to grow, became the youngest Field Manager in company history within just a few years. He later advanced to Superintendent, continuing to build on early goals he set for himself.

That same determination defined his leadership on the I-66 project, the most difficult job the company has ever taken on. Stepping in when the project was more than a year behind schedule, George earned the trust of a new team in a short amount of time, building both confidence and momentum. Within six months, he not only believed the work would finish on time, his team did too. His ability to inspire others, lead through challenges, and deliver results reflects what’s possible when someone fully commits to growth and takes advantage of every opportunity along the way
