Ed Hilferty

Senior Vice President, Construction

Ed Hilferty has built his career at Allan Myers by taking on challenges and growing through them. He joined the company in Pennsylvania as a Project Engineer in 1997 and relocated to Virginia in 2012, where he leads construction efforts across central and eastern Virginia.

Early in his career, Ed worked as a Project Manager and estimator, gaining experience across highways, transportation, and private jobs. Over time, he developed a strong foundation in both heavy civil and negotiated projects, taking on increasingly complex projects.

He played a key role in negotiating the company’s first design-build project in the early 2000s and later led negotiations for the Norfolk International Terminals (NIT) project with the Virginia Port Authority.

Ed is known for his persistence, technical expertise, and ability to lead large-scale construction projects from start to finish. As Senior Vice President, Construction, he continues to guide teams and deliver complex work across the region, bringing the same determination and hands-on approach that have defined his career.
