Pennsylvania Turnpike

This $214 million transportation project is widening a five-mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County from four lanes to six, increasing capacity and improving safety. The existing roadway, with a 10-foot median, is being transformed into a six-lane highway featuring a 26-foot median and 12-foot shoulders.

Construction began in July 2023 and will span four years. The work supports the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission’s ongoing effort to modernize and bring the interstate up to current design standards.

Allan Myers’ largest project to date on record in Pennsylvania includes removing and replacing three bridges, extending culverts, and constructing retaining walls, sound barriers, stormwater management systems and other drainage improvements.
