Crews broke ground in December 2023 on the Lock 57 Water Treatment Plant in Chester County, PA. Developed in partnership with Pennsylvania American Water (PAW), the facility will incorporate advanced treatment to remove per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFA)S, or “forever chemicals.” The plant will include full-scale chemical treatment processes and onsite residuals management, ensuring reliable, high-quality water.

Allan Myers is working on all civil, structural, architectural, process, instrumentation and control, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work associated with the new facility, which will have a capacity of 11 million gallons per day and include an intake from the Schuylkill River. The new water treatment plant is scheduled to open in 2027.
