Gude Landfill

Allan Myers crews were tasked with remediating Gude Landfill by excavating and relocating waste across the 100-acre site and installing modern liner systems across 35 acres. The work addressed long-standing environmental conditions and brings the site in line with today’s standards. Gude Landfill is the oldest formal landfill in Montgomery County, Md., and pre-dates all modern landfill design regulations.

Crews placed soil, installed liners, and prepared the site for final grading to support future use. The former landfill will be transformed into a safe, usable space with trails, recreational areas, and natural habitat features. The area will be an environmental and recreational asset to the surrounding community.
